Read article on Marzano Best Practices by Edmentum

Researched “blended learning,” found a good article at Teaching, Tech and Twitter: Blended Learning: The What, Where, When, Why, and How. Blended learning is a combination of online and traditional learning. Two resources vetted by #TOSAchat are: Schoology and Google Classroom. An infographic in the article provides an explanation of Blended Learning Models:

  1. Rotation – online lab, station rotation, and flipped classroom
  2. A la carte model – fully online classes to accompany traditional classes
  3. Flex – online platform houses most curriculum but teachers provide on-site support
  4. Self-blend – students attend traditional school but supplement their learning with online classes

    Worked on coach documents and welcome email for new teachers; sent to John/Chloe/Liz and new PHS teachers. Placed document in Ed Services/Instructional Coaches folder
